BOARD OF GOVERNORS MEETING IN BUENOS AIRES
During the last week of January, the Board of Governors of the CFA Institute will have its quarterly meeting in Buenos Aires. This is the first time the meeting is held not only in Buenos Aires but also in Latin America.
The board of governors is the highest governing authority of the CFA Institute and is responsible for defining our vision, mission and strategies.
This meeting shows the strong focus the Institute is placing on the development of the Latin American region.

GLOBAL INVESTMENT RESEARCH CHALLENGE
The purpose of the CFA Institute’s
Global Investment Research Challenge is to teach best and ethical practices in equity research to the next generation through a real-world experience. Leading industry professionals and university faculty members mentor students as they research and prepare a report on a public company from the perspective of a sell-side analyst. Finalist teams make presentations to a panel of expert judges.
The local final was held on December 7th and the first position was awarded to the team of CEMA University.
Congratulations to all the participants and specially to the CEMA team members who will now represent our country in the GIRC semifinals to be held in April 2011 in Omaha, Nebraska, United States.
